ON A NEW JOURNEY!

Well now, it's been quite some time since I've been here but just started a new journey and wanted to chat about it.

I was introduced to the HCG diet by one of my dearest friends about 4 weeks ago. And let me say this, if she wasn't sitting right in front of me as she told me her story, I never would have believed her.

Jean has been a friend for over twenty years and at least fifteen of those, she's been an avid Massage Client of mine. So to say that I'm familiar with the "ups and downs" of her physical make up, would be an understatement.

I've watched her weight fluctuate for the last two decades. Never an overweight person, but like the rest of us, she would often obsess over the spots we all do. You know, extra pounds in the hips, stomach, etc.

So, imagine that I haven't seen her for about 3 months and she walks up slim and trim and svelt like never before. Yep, I almost didn't recognize her.

We spent all of breakfast talking about HCG and guess what, I spent the next week reading every little thing I could find on this and then started myself. This is my 22nd day and I've lost 24.9 pounds, and still retained all my muscle mass. Hard to believe, but there it is.

I've got more on this later, so stay tuned!

Form, Form, Form!

Hey everyone, just wanted to drop a quick note today. When I was at the gym today there seemed to be an overwhelming amount of chatter about FORM! Thank goodness it was mostly from the Trainers who most of us can put our trust in. And for my two cents, I couldn't agree more. If we can all remember that first of all, everyone is different and secondly, because of that, don't judge yourself by anyone else! You have to take care of the one and only body you have and the best way to do that is to watch your FORM!

Make sure you protect your back at all times! By this I mean, you must become aware of yourself at all times in whatever activity you're doing. Especially when you're lifting or moving something. If in any way, shape or form you feel as if you could hurt yourself doing something, STOP! Evaluate what your FORM needs to be and that you're not going to injure anything, especially your back.

Also, slow it down! What's the rush? When you hurry I can guarantee your FORM is going to suffer! Yep, guarantee it! So try this the next time you feel you're rushing things a bit: Visualize exactly what each muscle group is doing for that particular exercise. Meaning, when doing incline fly presses, visualize your pectoral muscles contracting as you bring the weights together and then stretching as you allow the weights to return to the starting position. (Now visualize the kind of chest you're trying to achieve and put that in your picture. You'll be amazed!)

That's it for now and, oh yeah, are you remembering to BREATH? Yeah, that's next!

Cheers,
Jeff
